Engagement in Guimarães: We got engaged!!! What a big change in our lives, we made it official after months of planning our wedding this summer...It was a beautiful set, in the gardens of an old convent, now a historical hotel, in the hills of Guimarães, northern Portugal! It was a very happy day and I proposed right when the sun was shining over the garden (was mostly clouded those days) and Lisa was so emotional that even though she felt the moment coming, her eyes got filled with tears of joy...Now she proudly holds a nice engagement ring and all our wedding planning (invitations, website, contacting catering, priest, etc.), is at full speed for August 23rd 2008, that is in 5 months!!!!
Guimarães, by the way, is a small city near Porto and it was where Portugal was founded when the first King Afonso Henriques was recognised as sovereign in 1143 after a dispute with the King of Léon in the famous battle of São Mamede. It's a city filled with old castles and houses and its historical centre was designated UNESCO's world heritage due to its architecture and historical importance.

Some sun in Ericeira A little sun by the beach to recover energy together with Lisa and my parents. We spent some days in Mafra with them and it was a bit cold in a and out of the house. Lisa took some lemons from our garden to make a lemon meringue that we ate yesterday with our friends Stefan, Hannah, Thaïs, Thomas and the omnipresent Irene. We also met my friends Petrof, Cordeiro, Va, Eloy and Ana B. in Lisboa, really nice to hear their latest novelties.

Violence with violence? I couldn't help noticing this funny sticker here in Lausanne: be happy, smash a nazi... maybe not the best way to fight it though...

Sunday brunch at Zinéma We discovered a new hang-out for sundays, Zinéma, a small neighbourhood cinema, the last survivor of the style in Lausanne showing alternative cinema, where you can eat brunch for 96 kr (around 10 euro). It reminds us of Hornstull and places like Copacabana and Mjölk o Bar, so we could be a little nostalgic of our first days together in Stockholm almost 4 years ago... as our friend Irene puts it, "in love like the first time..."

Grattis, Tiago!
ahhh.... aquele mar é me familiar :) Great Ericeira, Onde o mar é mais azul :) e o amor se funde :)
Um beijo Grande
