The inauguration of a not-so-lounge bar called Segafredo

Last weekend we were at the opening of Segafredo Lausanne, a restaurant-bar named after the italian coffee brand, which turns into a Lounge bar on weekend nights.

As experts in the field coming from trendy Stockholm, we readily detected the absence of a real lounge atmosphere in this bar starting with the music (80's stuff from Kool & The Gang, Prince, and then suddenly the DJ turns to Dr. Dre and starts hip-hoping the place up?) and ending up in the decoration (tacky Christmas-red walls with plastic mirrors - kind of "Alcântara-Mar" in Lisbon back in the 1990's). Definetely not-so-lounge, not-so-trendy. But well, we had a lovely evening with Irene's crowd, nice people and interesting discussions, following pasta al pesto and coup de colonel (lemon sorbet marinated in vodka), cooked by the italians. We are definetely in a sorbet-wave and variations are welcome! It was also fun to exchange cultural experiences with an indian lawyer from Kerala - the average indian doesn't go to clubs like western people do and they are very local (basically very little foreign influences outside the bigger cities).
